Reading Clinic

Dust of that horn, kick out the scale cob-webs, and plan to join us on Wednesday, October 21st for the annual SWIBA Music Reading Clinic in Stanton. This event is sponsored by Reiman Music, but is a SWIBA event by nature. As you know, to listen to a concert or jazz recording, and to play the music yourself are two very different ways of selecting things for your ensembles. Each year I've attended, I've either found a great deal on a chart I've "always wanted" or found something new for my bands. Please put in your administrative request today to attend this event, as it is a great way to dust of that horn, and socialize with others who "feel the same pains you do". I am looking for directors to conduct pieces from your grade level, as we read elementary, middle school/jr. high and high school literature...and jazz! Please contact me if you would like to do this!

Reading Clinic Highlights:
Cool Door Prizes - (a really cool one this year, but I can't say any more than that!)
You get to play your instrument!
Good Music, (and some bad - you decide)
Free Food - sponsored by Reiman!
Thanks for your time - and good luck with the rest of your marching/pep band season!

In the name of music and kids,

AW
